Receive your bills and pay on time despite any work stoppage at Canada Post

Receive your bills and pay on time despite any work stoppage at Canada Post

Hydro-Québec would like to remind its customers that they must always pay their bills on time, even during a work stoppage at Canada Post. To ensure that our residential rates remain the lowest in North America and that customers who pay their bills on time are not penalized, we must receive your payment by the due date.

We send 62% of our residential customers their bills by mail. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, we strongly recommend that you sign up for Online Billing. You will receive an e-mail notification whenever a new bill is ready and another e-mail reminder a few days before the payment due date.

Until December 31, 2018, customers who sign up will also be entered in a draw to receive a $500 credit and an iPad: http://www.hydroquebec.com/residential/customer-space/account-and-billing/online-billing.html.

Customers can check their account balance in their Customer Space on Hydro-Québec’s Web site or mobile app. They can also call us at 514 385-7252 or 1 888 385-7252. Business customers can contact us at 1 800 463-9900.

Only 5% of customers pay their electricity bills by cheque, while 70% pay their bills through their financial institution at an ATM, by Internet or at the counter. To do this, they will need their account number, which begins with 299.

Our customers can also sign up for Pre-authorized Debit (PAD). Simple and free, it’s the most reliable way to make sure you pay on time.

Finally, we remind all of our customers not to send any payment by mail during the work stoppage.
