Fraudulent Investment Websites Using Hydro-Québec's Name: Stay Vigilant
Montréal - Hydro-Québec would like to inform the public that several fraudulent investment websites falsely claiming to be associated with Hydro-Québec are currently online. Our cybersecurity teams are actively working to shut down these malicious websites.
As a reminder, Hydro-Québec does not issue shares and pays dividends only to its sole shareholder, the Government of Québec. Hydro-Québec relies on the bond market to secure its financing. Information on purchasing Hydro-Québec bonds is available on Hydro-Québec’s Investor Relations website at https://www.hydroquebec.com/investor-relations
What to Do if You Clicked on a Fraudulent Link
If you are asked to provide a credit card number or any confidential information, do not disclose any information.
If you clicked on a hyperlink and provided confidential information, contact your financial institution immediately to have your account secured or closed and report the fraud to your local police service.
