Press Release

Public Charging Stations in the Heart of Pays-d’en-HautThe Electric Circuit Welcomes Towns of Sainte-Adèle and Saint-Sauveur

The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the towns of Sainte-Adèle and Saint-Sauveur and the installation of public electric-vehicle charging stations. Sainte-Adèle now has two public plug-in stations, in the parking lot at the main entrance of Place des citoyens (999, boulevard de Sainte-Adèle). There is another station in Saint-Sauveur, in the parking lot at Georges Fillion Park, near the church on Rue Principale.

The mayor of Sainte-Adèle, Réjean Charbonneau, said: “We’re going green and will be implementing a sustainable development plan in 2015. This partnership agreement is part of it. We want to encourage the use of hybrid and electric vehicles in Sainte-Adèle and offer both resident and visitors to the Laurentides two new plug-in stations in a very busy location in the centre of town. And to set an example, the municipality itself purchased an electric car last year.”

Saint-Sauveur mayor Jacques Gariepy is delighted with the agreement: “Installation of this charging station is right in line with our  desire to support initiatives that enable our residents to do their part to protect the environment  for the benefit of both the community and its visitors.”

“We are very pleased to have the towns of Sainte-Adèle and Saint-Sauveur, two municipalities whose reputation and renown extend well beyond the Laurentides region, as partners,” said Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Vice President – Public and Government Affairs at Hydro-Québec, on behalf of The Electric Circuit’s founding partners. “Not only will these new plug-in stations expand the opportunities for vehicle charging in a popular area, they will belocated in easily accessible spots in prime locations.”
