Hydro-Québec proudly celebrates its 70th anniversary

On April 14, 1944, the Québec government, then headed by Premier Adélard Godbout, passed the act creating the Québec Hydro-Electric Commission (Hydro-Québec) and expropriated the Montreal Light, Heat and Power Company.

The city of Rosemère will offer public charging stations for electric vehicles

The founding partners of the Electric Circuit—Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, RONA, METRO, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) and Hydro-Québec—are pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the city of Rosemère for the deployment of two public charging stations for electric vehicles. They will be installed by summer 2014 in the city hall parking lot, located at 100, rue Charbonneau, and at the municipal library, at 339, chemin de la Grande-Côte.

Hydro-Québec has installed almost 1.4 million next-generation meters

Hydro-Québec has installed almost 1,400,000 meters since the beginning of the rollout of next-generation meters.  More than 80% of the 1.7 million meters making up Phase 1 of the project, which is scheduled to end in June 2014, are already in service for customers in the greater Montréal area.
