Two New Public Charging Stations in MontérégieCégep de Sorel-Tracy Joins Electric Circuit
The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with Cégep de Sorel-Tracy and the installation of two public electric-vehicle charging stations at door no. 4 in the college parking lot, 3000, boulevard de Tracy.
The director general of Cégep de Sorel-Tracy, Fabienne Desrochers said: “This action shows the College’s constant attention to sustainability and its to provide services to the public.”
“With the addition of Cégep de Sorel-Tracy to our network, The Electric Circuit continues its expansion in the region,” said Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Vice President – Public and Government Affairs at Hydro-Québec, on behalf of the Electric Circuit’s founding partners. “We are delighted that an institution of higher learning like Cégep de Sorel-Tracy is setting an example for the up-and-coming generation by supporting the advent of electric vehicles.”
The Electric Circuit
The Electric Circuit is the largest public charging network in Québec. It is a major initiative in providing the charging infrastructure required to support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Québec, with more than 360 stations, including 8 fast-charge stations, in parking lots of the AMT, RONA stores, Metro grocery stores and St-Hubert restaurants throughout Québec. Since its launch in March 2012, 94 private and institutional partners have joined The Electric Circuit.
Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help line run by CAA-Québec, as well as a charging-station locator service. The Electric Circuit Web site, theelectriccircuit.com, and the mobile app for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are commissioned.
