Hydro-Québec’s unionized employees: Wage freeze for 2014 and 2015
Hydro-Québec would like to issue a reminder that a wage freeze for its unionized workers is in effect for 2014 and 2015.
Profit-sharing, which called for incentive compensation of up to 4.5% if company objectives were met, was abolished on January 1, 2014.
The wage freeze for pay scales will remain in effect in 2015 and part of the incentive compensation, corresponding to the average paid (4.2%), will be integrated into the pay scales. The overall remuneration budget thus remains unchanged.
These parameters were accepted by seven of the eight unions in December 2013, in accordance with the mandate agreed upon with the Conseil du trésor regarding salaries.
