Press Release
Customers with Honeywell Home, Mysa and Sinopé equipment can now participate in Hilo
Hydro-Québec is pleased to announce that certain thermostats and other equipment will be integrated into its Hilo smart home service.
The owners of eligible Honeywell Home, Mysa and Sinopé brand equipment can now sign up for Hilo. What’s more, Hilo customers can now use eligible equipment sold by those suppliers.
Hydro-Québec will even offer financial assistance between $35 and $150 per device to customers who already own or will buy eligible equipment sold by those three companies. They will only need to obtain a free Hilo Smart Home Hub and have it all installed by a master electrician. They will then be able to participate in Hilo challenges and collect rewards.
Reducing and shifting consumption
“Helping our customers make better use of electricity is one of the five priorities outlined in our Action Plan 2035 – Towards a Decarbonized and Prosperous Québec. This announcement is an important step towards having more Hydro-Québec customers participate in efforts to manage peak-period consumption. Going forward, thousands of customers with equipment from these brands can contribute to the collective,” noted Sabrina Harbec, Director – Energy Efficiency, Demand Response and Customer Offerings.
