Over $5 billion to boost the involvement of Indigenous communities in major wind power projects
A gathering in the landmark National Data Centre Summit series is to be held in Québec for the first time. The Greater Montréal and Québec Data Centre Summit
on January 24 confirms Québec’s prime position in this booming sector.
“There’s real enthusiasm for Québec as a data-hosting location and holding this major event here is proof of that. Our clean energy, our highly competitive rates and our climate make Québec a great place to set up data centres,” said David Murray, President of Hydro-Québec Distribution.
The summit, organized by CapRate Events, will draw hundreds of decision makers crucial to the growth of the data centre industry, including developers, investors, managers and engineers from Canada and the U.S.A.
Hydro-Québec’s Strategic Plan 2016–2020 announced
that the company would be launching a campaign to attract data centres to Québec by offering investors a number of advantages:
