Hydro-Québec – Issue of Debentures Due February 15, 2065 on the Canadian Market
The Maine Secretary of State announced today that a citizen’s initiative seeking to reject the New England Clean Energy Connect transmission line project has received enough signatures to move forward.
Hydro-Québec certainly understands the issues and concerns that go along with building large infrastructure projects.
We also understand that the benefits of the project require further explanation. We will continue to have fact-based conversations with Mainers about project benefits, such as how this project allows more renewable energy generators in Maine to get their power to the grid and how Québec hydropower can help reduce the use of fossil fuels and pollution that affect the land, water and air in Maine.
