Hydro-Québec appointment - Lise Croteau to Serve as Acting President and CEO

Hydro-Québec’s Board of Directors has appointed Lise Croteau as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 2, 2015.

Ms. Croteau, who currently serves as Vice President – Accounting and Control at Hydro-Québec, will ensure the continuity of business while the Board completes the process of recruiting a new candidate to fill the position of CEO.

Since joining Hydro-Québec in 1986, Ms. Croteau has acquired solid management experience and an extensive knowledge of the company’s activities. In 2008, she was awarded the title of Fellow of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec (FCPA) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the accounting profession.

“On behalf of Hydro-Québec’s Board of Directors, I would like to thank Lise Croteau for accepting this mandate, which she will certainly fulfill with great success, said Michael D. Penner, Chairman of the Board, adding that “a rigorous process complying with best governance practices is under way to recruit a new CEO.”

A special human resources committee has been formed to recruit candidates from within and outside the company. The consulting firm Spencer Stuart has been hired to assist in the recruitment, and the committee’s work is progressing well.
