Hydro-Québec – Issue of Medium Term Notes 3.60% Due September 1, 2033 on the Canadian Market
Over the next year, Hydro-Québec will replace 25,000 (or more as necessary) next-generation meters that have a defective communication function. The defect does not affect the accuracy of the readings or any other functions and does not pose any safety concerns.
The manufacturer will assume all costs associated with the replacements and Hydro-Québec customers won’t bear any costs.
It has been determined that a component of the communication system for a specific batch of next-generation meters can be affected by humidity under very precise conditions. The manufacturer is fully supporting Hydro-Québec in the proactive replacement of impacted and potentially impacted meters.
Hydro-Québec will be contacting affected customers soon to inform them of the steps involved in the meter replacement.
