New Chair of Hydro-Québec’s Board of Directors

The Québec government, Hydro-Québec’s sole shareholder, today announced the appointment of Jacynthe Côté as Chair of Hydro-Québec’s Board of Directors.

A native of Normandin in the Lac-Saint-Jean region, Ms. Côté holds a Bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry. Her impressive track record includes her work as an independent director on many corporate boards in a variety of industries, including aluminum, finance and energy. From 2009 to 2014, she served as President and CEO of Rio Tinto Alcan.

Hydro-Québec is proud of this appointment of the first woman to chair Hydro-Québec’s Board of Directors. The company extends a warm welcome to Ms. Côté and looks forward to providing all the support and cooperation she may require to assume her duties.
