The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the municipality of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, as well as the commissioning of two new public charging stations for electric vehicles. Visitors can now charge their cars in the parking lot of the Société de développement économique, located at 230, rue Sainte-Anne, near the tomcod fishing festival facilities.

“We are very pleased to join the Electric Circuit and offer this service to tourists who visit our municipality and region. With the start of the winter season, tomcod fishing enthusiasts can enjoy some fishing while charging their vehicle for the ride home,” said Mayor Diane Aubut.

“We salute Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade’s initiative to offer charging for electric vehicle users,” said France Lampron, Director – Transportation Electrification at Hydro-Québec. “These new charging stations arrive just in time for the popular ice fishing season and will please environmentally conscious outdoor enthusiasts.”

With the addition of these charging stations in the municipality of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, the Electric Circuit now has 18 stations in service in the Mauricie region, including at the Baie-de-Maskinongé rest area, in Shawinigan, in Trois-Rivières and in Yamachiche.

 About the Electric Circuit

The Electric Circuit is the largest public charging network in Québec. It is a major initiative in the implementation of the infrastructure required to support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Québec. The network comprises over 600 public charging stations, including 29 fast-charge stations, in operation across 16 Québec regions. Since its launch in March 2012, 134 private and institutional partners have joined the Electric Circuit, and the network now has over 6,500 members.

Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help line run by CAA-Québec, as well as a charging-station locator service. The Electric Circuit Web site theelectriccircuit.com and the mobile app for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are commissioned. The Electric Circuit card also allows users to access VERnetwork’s 150 Québec charging stations.
