The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with municipality of Saint-André-d’Argenteuil for the installation of a public electric-vehicle (EV) charging station. Visitors can now charge their vehicles in the town hall parking lot on Rue de la Mairie.

“We are all concerned about our environment and climate change. As a public organization, we believe we have a role to play in reducing our dependence on oil and other fossil fuels. We have therefore purchased a fully electric vehicle for our environment and urban planning department. This new charging station, installed at Saint-André d’Argenteuil city hall will allow EV users to charge their vehicles, while discovering the beauty of our region and the exceptional people who live here,” said Mayor André Jetté.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome the municipality of Saint-André-d’Argenteuil to the Electric Circuit and thereby offer the first charging point in the MRC of Argenteuil,” said Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Vice President – Public and Government Affairs at Hydro-Québec, on behalf of the founding partners of the Electric Circuit. EV drivers will now be able to stop there to charge their vehicles and discover the area’s attractions.”

About the Electric Circuit

The Electric Circuit is the largest public charging network in Québec. It is a major initiative providing the charging infrastructure required to support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Québec, with more than 360 stations, including 8 fast-charge stations, in parking lots of the AMT, RONA stores, Metro grocery stores and St-Hubert restaurants throughout Québec. Since its launch in March 2012, 101 private and institutional partners have joined the Electric Circuit.

Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help line run by CAA-Québec, as well as a charging-station locator service. The Electric Circuit Web site, theelectriccircuit.com, and the mobile app for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are commissioned.
