2021 Centraide campaignThe generosity of Hydro-Québec employees and pensioners on full display

Despite the ongoing pandemic, Hydro-Québec’s employees and pensioners showed tremendous generosity, helping raise $7,651,514 for the 45th Centraide campaign—its highest total ever!

The money will be distributed among Québec’s 17 Centraide branches, as donors can choose the region to receive their donation.

“We are very pleased but not at all surprised. Hydro-Québec’s employees and pensioners know how important it is to help their communities. To the 12,200 people who contributed to the campaign, I offer heartfelt thanks,” said Sophie Brochu, President and CEO of Hydro-Québec.

Hydro-Québec’s Centraide campaign is the largest in Québec. Hydro-Québec doubles the amount donated by active employees and retired personnel.

“We are proud of all our donors and with the increase in the number of Leaders—people who donate $1200 or more. Our pensioners were also very generous this year and donated a total of close to $1.2 million. An enormous thank you to everyone,” added Pierre Gagnon, Executive Vice President – Corporate and Legal Affairs and head of Hydro-Québec’s Centraide campaign since 2020.

The money collected will help improve the lives of the people and families assisted by Centraide and its partner organizations.
