Welcome to Hydro-Québec: Hydro-Québec continues dialogue with customers
Riding the wave of success of phase 1 of Welcome to Hydro-Québec, its first information and advertising campaign in eight years, Hydro-Québec is launching phase 2 today. With this initiative, the company continues to fulfil its commitment to explain its business better and improve communications with customers.
“In 2016, we made every effort to get closer to our customers, something that meant a great deal to me,” said Éric Martel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro-Québec. “Having made customer services more accessible, we are counting on this information campaign to achieve our aim of encouraging dialogue with our customers, especially through social media.”
Investing to listen better
Last winter, the Welcome to Hydro-Québec campaign enabled customers to learn more about the company, which answered over 2,000 questions on a range of topics, mainly customer service, energy efficiency and electricity rates. This fall, Hydro-Québec hopes to continue the dialogue through a greater presence on all its social media platforms.
Hydro-Québec is investing $2.3 million in phase 2 of the Welcome to Hydro-Québec campaign, which will run until October 30. The budget covers production of a new TV commercial, two Web videos, and online and print ads, as well as purchases of advertising space in various other Québec media.
The campaign is being paid for out of Hydro-Québec’s advertising budget and will not have any effect on rates.
