Two new Electric Circuit public charging stations: LaSalle College contributes to sustainable transportation

The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with LaSalle College, as well as the commissioning of two new public charging stations for electric vehicles. Visitors can now charge their cars in the college’s indoor parking lot that can be reached by Rue du Fort in Montréal.

“This new partnership fits in perfectly with the basic principles of our academic project, which aims, among other things, to develop a natural impulse to protect the environment and advocate for sustainable development. The installation of two public charging stations for electric vehicles allows students, instructors, employees and visitors of our neighborhood to have access to a green alternative in terms of mobility and sustainable transportation,” said Jacques Marchand, General Director of LaSalle College in Montréal.

“We are delighted to welcome LaSalle College, a Collège Vert du Québec-certified establishment, with a strong vision in terms of sustainable development,” said France Lampron, Director – Transportation Electrification at Hydro-Québec on behalf of the founding partners of the Electric Circuit. “With these public charging stations, the college encourages the adoption of electric vehicles, while contributing to developing the network, which now has 153 public charging stations in Montréal.”

The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Use, Minister of Public Safety and Minister responsible for the Montréal region, Martin Coiteux is pleased with this announcement. “The commissioning of these charging stations is another step towards a green city, encouraging electric vehicle use at LaSalle College,” said the minister.
