The Electric Circuit and Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert are pleased to announce the commissioning, over the next few months, of ten new fast-charge stations for electric vehicles, in partnership with Nissan Canada. The addition of these fast-charge stations to the Electric Circuit is great news for current and future electric vehicle drivers, who will be able to make intercity trips by stopping to charge up at a St-Hubert restaurant.

In addition to the fast-charge stations already available at the St-Hubert restaurant in Boucherville, in Drummondville and since this morning in Saint-Jérôme, the new fast-charge stations will be installed at the following locations:

• St-Hubert – Bromont
• St-Hubert – Laval
• St-Hubert – Piedmont
• St-Hubert – Richelieu
• St-Hubert – Sainte-Agathe
• St-Hubert – Sainte-Marie de Beauce
• St-Hubert – Saint-Hyacinthe
• St-Hubert – Vaudreuil

“I am delighted that Québec-based company, Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, and a manufacturer like Nissan are offering the charging infrastructure needed to support the adoption of even more electric vehicles on our roads. Like these companies, our government is committed to transportation electrification and strongly believes that Québec has the resources and expertise required to ensure its development. The Electric Circuit, Canada’s first public charging network, is an excellent example, demonstrating our leadership in this area,” said the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Minister responsible for the Northern Plan, Pierre Arcand.

“At Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, we have always believed in the importance of being innovative and meeting our customers’ needs. I am proud to announce the installation of ten fast-charge stations at our restaurants. Our guests will be able to enjoy a good meal while charging their vehicles. Along with measures such as our composting program for our restaurants and our recyclable packaging, this initiative reflects our commitment to the environment,” explained Jean-Pierre Léger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Saint-Hubert.

“Nissan is proud to be a major partner of the Electric Circuit’s expansion and is highly supportive of Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert in their initiative to add ten fast-charge stations in several cities in Québec. We are thrilled to see how quickly the Electric Circuit has grown in the past few months thanks to the support of all its partners, including Nissan. More Quebecers are opting for electric vehicles, like the Nissan LEAF, and will continue to do so as long as the public charging infrastructure also continues to expand, making it easier for electric vehicles to cover long distances,” said Christian Meunier, President of Nissan Canada Inc.

“We salute the leadership shown by Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert and thank Nissan Canada for its support to the Electric Circuit’s charging network. This major rollout of fast-charge stations will allow electric vehicle drivers to make intercity trips. Transport electrification is well underway in Québec and Hydro-Québec has what it takes to contribute to this trend,” said Éric Martel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro-Québec, on behalf of the partners of the Electric Circuit.
